Ari Vezdos
Ari is an 18-year-old Columbus, Ohio based lighting designer.
They initially started doing lighting in high school when they were 14 because one of their friends coaxed them into doing theatre, and their school needed someone to take over lighting for their productions.
In the summer of 2023, they stepped into the realm of concert design by competing in the grandMA3 Programming Contest for the simple reason of being bored. Through this competition, they gained experience using the MA3 software, and now uses it extensively to create design concepts for various bands.
They immediately fell in love with the work and would go on to begin their professional career with the Lincoln Theatre in 2024 at the age of 16. At the Lincoln Theatre, Ari designed for various bands and touring productions on the space's historic proscenium stage.
Ari is now a student majoring in Theatre at Ohio State University, while designing for the Schottenstein Center, Timashev Recital Hall, Weigel Auditorium, and OSU's proscenium theatre.
